Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 October 2026

This policy is a draft and is pending legal review. If anything here is unclear, email hello@tournament.studio.

Who we are

Tournament Studio (https://tournament.studio) is operated by Tournament Studio. It is a tool for running judged tournaments: registration, qualifying, brackets, live judging and standings. You can contact us about this policy or your data at hello@tournament.studio.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and profile image, provided when you sign up. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
  • Profile details you add: your first and last name, team and avatar.
  • Tournament data: the tournaments you create, judge or register for, and the scores, results and standings they produce.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

What is public

Tournaments are public. Your name, avatar, team and results appear on tournament pages, brackets, standings, leaderboards, your public profile and any stream overlays an organiser shows. Your email address is never shown publicly.

How we use your data

  • To sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To run tournaments: registration, judging, brackets, results and standings.
  • To show your public profile and tournament history.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies: the authentication cookies set by Clerk that keep you signed in. They are required for the site to work, so there is no cookie banner. We set no analytics or advertising cookies.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the service, and they process data only on our behalf:

  • Clerk: sign-in and account management
  • Vercel: hosting and storage of profile images
  • Neon: the database
  • Ably: live updates to tournament pages

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page. This removes your sign-in and your profile image. Results from tournaments you took part in stay with those tournaments so their brackets and standings remain accurate. To ask for your name to be removed from them as well, email hello@tournament.studio.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@tournament.studio. You can edit your name, team and avatar yourself on your account page.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
